Managing
Director (Process Safety Consultant)
Keith Jackson is the Managing Director and founder
of the ETEC Consulting Group. He brings expertise in
process safety & risk management, having consulted
clients in compliance with OSHA PSM and EPA RMP. Other
experience includes project management, optimization
of manufacturing processes via reliability-centered
maintenance, total quality management, and business
process reengineering.
Keith has worked with large multinational firms on
implementing process safety and risk management programs,
developing business growth strategies, and the redesign
of core processes to improve operational reliability.
Keith consulted on multiple projects in the USA, as
well as in England, Canada, China, Japan, Indonesia,
Italy, Uruguay, & Venezuela for the chemicals, petroleum
and environmental industries.
Keith consulted on projects such as the development
of a growth strategy for an environmental subsidiary
of a multi-billion dollar chemical firm. He participated
in the identification of $30 million of new business
opportunities, which are presently being successfully
developed.
Keith has twenty-two years experience in the petroleum
and chemical industries. He has served as process safety
coordinator, quality director for a business unit of
Amoco Chemicals, profit improvement coordinator, internal
consultant, and project manager. As a member of a team,
Keith developed and implemented a corporate wide profit
improvement system which demonstrated savings of over
$100 million within 12 months. Keith also facilitated
the implementation of a profit improvement strategy
for a manufacturing plant which reduced fixed and variable
costs by over 30%.
Keith conducted operational reviews of worldwide facilities
for a petroleum company to ensure efficient operations
and minimize yield losses, and has managed the $50 million
optimization and automation of one of the largest lube-oil
facilities in the country.
He is a Senior Examiner for the Georgia Oglethorpe
Quality Award process, the State of Maryland Quality
Award, and the Senate Productivity Award.
Keith earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees
in Engineering from the University of Illinois, and
a master’s degree in Business Administration from
the University of Chicago.
